Wang confronts Mizayaki, only to be captured by him and learn of his bond with a demon named Hoji.

Mizayaki refuses, Wang kills all of his body guards to try and take the katana by force and chases after him. Wang is tasked with purchasing the Nobitsura Kage, an ancient katana, from a collector named Mizayaki for 2 million dollars. Wang is a deadly assassin who works for Orochi Zilla, a powerful and wealthy industrial mogul. Like the original game, you play as Lo Wang, except instead of being a borderline cultural stereotype, this modern version of him is just some nerd who collects comic books, likes rocking out to Stan Bush (A Boomer-ass reference that I had to look up) and drives an awesome looking car that resembles and old Nissan S30. Much like games such as Wolfenstein: The New Order and Doom (2016), Shadow Warrior gets itself a contemporary reboot for the current console generation/PC hardware thanks to the work of developer Flying Wild Hog and publisher Devolver Digital. Sadly, Blood never got much in the way of a contemporary reboot, unless you count Blood: Fresh Supply and Duke Nukem 3D spawned… Duke Nukem Forever… Needless to say, both of those franchises have been put on ice for the foreseeable future, but not Shadow Warrior. All four Clans suffered massive losses, and their deaths are remembered through memorials in each of the Clans.Back in the days of the Build Engine, the original Shadow Warrior (released in 1997) was one of the three primary pillars of that engine, alongside Duke Nukem 3D and Blood. StarClan and the Ancients arrived to assist their living descendants in the fight, though it was Firestar's victory and sacrifice over his sworn enemy Tigerstar that resulted in victory for the Clans. Ivypool managed to convince most of the trainees to fight for the Clans instead. The Dark Forest began their assault at night, attacking all four Clans at once. The four Clans united and vowed to help each other during the coming conflict. After uniting StarClan, Jayfeather discovered that Firestar was the fourth cat in the prophecy. Ivypool became a spy for the Three-Jayfeather, Lionblaze, and Dovewing-who were prophesized to use their powers to save the Clans. The Dark Forest began recruiting living warriors and training them to fight against their Clanmates. The battle against the Dark Forest, also known as the Great Battle, was a battle in The Last Hope where the four Clans, StarClan, and the Tribe of Endless Hunting united to defeat the rising Dark Forest.

Gorsetail is currently a grandmother to Featherpelt and Larkwing and a great-grandmother to Flutterfoot, Songleap, Whistlepaw, Brookkit, and Stripekit. After Harestar became leader, Gorsetail joined the elders' den. She mentored Hootwhisker after his mentor Nightcloud disappeared and participated in the rescue mission to save her from the Twolegplace. Gorsetail distrusted the former Dark Forest trainees, particularly Breezepelt. Gorsetail participated in the Great Battle and fought to defend ShadowClan while her apprentice Crouchfoot earned his warrior name, Gorsetail's two daughters Swallowtail and Thistleheart perished in the fight. Her kits disappeared in the tunnels underneath WindClan and ThunderClan territory and were later rescued by Breezepaw, Heatherpaw, Lionpaw, Hollypaw, and Jaypaw. After arriving at the lake, Gorsetail fell in love with the RiverClan warrior Beechfur and bore his daughters: Swallowtail, Sedgewhisker, and Thistleheart. Gorsetail is a WindClan elder under Harestar's leaderships in the lake territories, having previously served as a warrior under Onestar.
